Abstract

CARNEIRO, Francis Anne  and  VILA-REAL, Ângela. Having two mothers: the triangulation dynamics of children in lesbian led families. Tempo psicanal. [online]. 2019, vol.51, n.1, pp. 96-112. ISSN 0101-4838.

The authors are reflecting about two fundamental questions considered by psychoanalysis: Oedipus triangulation and identification. The main purpose is to problematize the dynamic of these two processes in children from families with two mothers. These modern families invalidate the basic gender binary concept and forces the development of new theoretical positions about internal differentiation and organization. Therefore, new possible arrangements of triangulation, identification and differentiation are discussed due to the absence of an anatomic polarization, both for boys and girls from lesbian-led families.

Keywords : homoparenting; Oedipus triangulation; identification.
