Abstract

CANAVEZ, Fernanda. Race, gender and social class in psychoanalytic clinic. Tempo psicanal. [online]. 2020, vol.52, n.2, pp. 79-102. ISSN 0101-4838.

The work aims to situate the discussion about race, gender and social class in the current psychoanalytic clinic, starting from the presentation of intersecionality's paradigm in a dialogue with Social Sciences. In order to achieve the main objective, it takes up modern roots of the clinic in the light of the debate on coloniality and then circumscribes clinic to the current discussion of new social movements. Finally, starting from the contributions of Sándor Ferenczi, clinic is considered as space-time of deconstruction of social denials that reinforce oppressions, as well as in the power of its paradoxical character for the deconstruction of crystallized identities.

Keywords : race; gender; social class; psychoanalytic clinic.
