Abstract

RAVIZZINI, Simone  and  BALDIN, Talita. The interpretation of the dreams and its relationship with the signifier: a finding that implies the dimension of the loss. Tempo psicanal. [online]. 2021, vol.53, n.1, pp. 58-83. ISSN 0101-4838.

This article focuses on the following question: how could we find the exact word capable of delimiting what words can not say? In order not to give an account, but to foster reflections on it, the path we found was to investigate Lacan's work, and thus to meet Freud, as he points to an unequal use of interpretation, a usage that seeks to transcend the explicit sense offered to us by speech, as opposed to understanding what is already crystallized in language. From the discussions throughout the article, we conclude that the analytical discourse comes to show that the sense is pure appearance, since it only points to the direction where it fails, and it is precisely in this failure of the signifier that the subject can come. Thus, language is a stumbling block, a failure of the word, just where Freud goes to seek the unconscious. The finding of this implies the dimension of the structural loss for the subject, because it constitutes it.

Keywords : Unconscious; language; failure of the signifier.
