Abstract

TONETTO, Ana Paula Mucha; BARBIERI, Valeria; ANDRADE, Marcela Lança de  and  SQUIRES, Claire. Psychoanalytic considerations about attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder: a literature revision. Tempo psicanal. [online]. 2021, vol.53, n.2, pp.52-82. ISSN 0101-4838.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is considered the main neurodevelopmental disorder in children. The etiology is not well described, allowing the establishment of several causal hypotheses. Psychoanalysis helps to understand these psychic realities as a result of a complex game of unconscious factors and reality, taking into account biological and social aspects. For this review, the descriptors "Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder" and "Psychoanalysis" were used in three languages (Portuguese, English and Spanish). A total of 32 articles were selected between January 2006 and February 2018, in the Lilacs, Pubmed, Embase and Scopus databases. There was an increase in studies that relate Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder to Psychoanalysis, as well as a growth in the development of therapeutic strategies in different psychoanalytic theories.

Keywords : Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder; Psychoanalysis; Revision; ADHD.
