Abstract

OLGUIN, Daniela Fernández. Otherness in Borderline States and young adulthood: A psychoanalytic perspective. Tempo psicanal. [online]. 2021, vol.53, n.2, pp.293-307. ISSN 0101-4838.

The research analyses the otherness dimensions as a problematic in Borderline States during Young Adulthood through a psychoanalytic perspective. It proposes the recognition of the symptomatology of these states from the inclusion of the psychic and intersubjective aspects. Finally, the research discusses how the analysis of Borderline States from psychoanalytic perspective could enable the understanding of these States not only as a diagnosis category, yet also as a particular psychic suffering expression related to psychic abandonment experiences, symbolic discourses, and the transition towards adulthood.

Keywords : Borderline States; psychoanalysis; young adulthood; otherness.
