SOUSA, Letícia Teles de  y  SOUZA, Mériti de. Plots of racism and violence in Brazilian childhood: the artwork "Amnesia". Tempo psicanal. [online]. 2022, vol.54, n.2, pp. 130-160. ISSN 0101-4838.

This article seeks to weave relationships about childhood, racism, and violence in order to stress the lines that underlie the discourses and practices on the process of subjectivation of the Black child in Brazil. Inspired by concepts from the Philosophy of Difference - Schizoanalysis proposed by the philosophers Deleuze and Guattari, in ethnic-racial studies and in the artwork "Amnesia", by Flávio Cerqueira, we will present some threads of analysis on the diagrams of power that imprison the black child´s childhood experience in lines of subjection and the resistances that are half-opened from art as a powerful intercessor. We consider that the captures of whitening and miscegenation evoked by the work indicate that the power relationship associated with racism permeates Brazilian society producing subjectivities. In dialogue with Stuart Hall, we will see that racism will be understood as discourse, as it configures in culture an intelligibility related to human differences. It is important to point out that despite the current criticism made by different areas of knowledge to the concept of race as an analytical category, it continues to operate with force through the capture of subjectivities, precisely because it is pulverized in practices and discourses and, above all, in aesthetic, political, ideological, and moral mechanisms. Still, from the block of sensations that art revolutionizes, we consider it important to think of the black child as a minor-becoming and we will weave analyzes with the power that this work of art exudes, whether pointing to the line of subjection of racism and whitening, as well as, exacerbating the line of flight to the violent molds that the minority childhood of the black child announces about the existence and the ways of subjectivizing.
