Abstract

CUNHA, Eduardo Leal. The crowd of gender dissidence and the psychoanalytic clinic. Tempo psicanal. [online]. 2022, vol.54, n.2, pp. 161-180. ISSN 0101-4838.

Having regard to transidentitarian experiences, anchored in the refusal of the binary gender norm, this article intends to discuss the ethical political horizon of a clinic that articulates itself to the idea of a multitude of minorities. In order to do so, it starts with a brief historical consideration of the psychoanalytic appropriation of the so-called transsexuality, indicating a displacement between the figure of the "true transexual", described by Robert Stoller, and the contemporary forms of gender dissidence. We consider, specially, the emphasis on the diagnostic-etiological model. Finally, we propose the consideration of the psychoanalytic clinic as a field of ethical experimentation, supported by a critical attitude that permanently interrogates the hegemonic forms of subjectivation and social bond.

Keywords : Transidentities; Psychoanalysis; Ethic; subjectivation.
