Fascinated with the monumental statue of Moses made by Michelangelo for Pope Julius II’s tomb, Freud wrote an instigating article about it. Antonio Franco Ribeiro da Silva, by his time, provoked by Freud’s essay writes another issue in which he searches for the reasons of Freud’s interest on Moses’ sculpture. This article analysis the mirroring that took place among all those authors, from the point of view of the interpretation that this work of art has evoked in them all.
