This article approaches the intersections between Psychoanalysis and Culture, focusing on the cultural and scientific impact that the Theory of the Unconscious provoked. The author also presents a brief social and political panorama of the beginnings of Psychoanalysis and concludes with considerations on the legacy that Psychoanalysis has brought to the contemporary culture.
