NEVES, Flávio José de Lima. The Kleinian psychoanalysis. Reverso [online]. 2007, vol.29, n.54, pp. 21-28. ISSN 0102-7395.

In this paper the author presents the main contributions made by Melanie Klein to Freud’s psychoanalysis. Some concepts stem from Freudian classical theory, like the Oedipus complex, sexual development, object relationship, however others have been amplified by Klein. On the other hand, some original contributions are mentioned, such as the concept of position - both schizoparanoid and depressive, the description of the early stages in child’s development with its most important mechanisms. The importance of Klein’s views on transference, the inner world and inner object relations are emphasized. A view on technical and clinical aspects of Kleinian psychoanalysis is also presented as a natural consequence of Klein’s theoretical developments.

Palavras-chave : Phantasy; Position; Early mechanisms; Inner world; Setting; Interpretation.
