Abstract

The localization of anxiety in infantile autisms and psychoses implys, in the first place, on expliciting the concept of the constitution of the individual as a tributary to defensive formations that result form the precipitation of anxiety: these are the necessary responses to the upsetting and unaccessable real that distinguishes the symbolic field from which the individual finds the stability that enables one to anticipate anxiety by a signal. In this context, the anxiety in autisms and psychoses aquires specific impassive connotations in the constitution of the individual, which illustrate the reduction of “alterity” to its real dimension (a) or to its symbolic dimension (A). Special attention to the clinical treatment denominated: the Other’s treatment.
