Abstract

In this article, the author discusses the use of medication, especially Rivotril, Ritalina and Viagra, as an effect of speech, analyzing from Lacan’s view on the capilist speech, the consequences brought on by the incidence of master signifiers and the object a as excess enjoyment from the use of medication. A clinical case study illustrates medication face to face with what is real in anxiety and its place in the treatment’s direction.
