So, we try to discuss how this «new man» which is constructed by the media discourse, as a social imaginary about virility, causing what might be called identity crisis. Finally, we support the idea that the crisis of male identity, with its harrowing effect, relates to a certain decline of the father, with their varied effects on the social bond.
