Abstract

This text examines the various attempts of meaning by the subject of what escaped the symbolic record of what has not found representation in language and updates itself by physical damage, sometimes irreversible. The body, as depositary of unconscious fantasies, becomes a contingency for printing marks on it, that transform and take the limit of pain. The individual tries to traumatic deliberate modification of body image through aggressive practices to the body, set up as a subject already lost himself in his submission to the Other's desire.
