The terms “courtly Love, coined by the writer Gastón Paris, from the attitudes governing the relationship during medieval times in Europe, is taken by Lacan as the only way out for man, given the absence of sexual relation. Based on what Freud was written about sublimation and idealization, the author pretends to verify, in this text, the possibles motivations for violence when the love affairs end, trough out time, in special, nowadays.
