This paper reflects the progress of speeches on the production of new symptoms and raises the question that they incorporate the conceptual universe of psychoanalysis, notions related to the perspective that privileges the description of symptoms in detriment of the etiology, according to the DSM IV. Retakes, some links between diagnostic and symptom, present in those strands, and also the relationship between symptom and structure. It concludes by warning: attaching to psychoanalysis, illegitimate notions by their clinic can contribute to their evasion.
