Love passion, taken here in the sense of pathos, manifests in psychoanalysis in the category of symptomatic partners or feminine devastation. We learn from clinic work that love mismatches are connected firstly to the partners until it reaches the difficulties of mother-daughter relationships. Sometimes one is not aware of which love it is and one only realizes in language misconception that the first devastation is always related to the mother. The hypothesis that we want to sustain is the following: women who were devastated by their mothers choose symptomatic partners equally devastators. From Freud to Lacan we approach the feminine and the lopsided roads to love.
