MELLO, Carlos de Brito e. What the thing is this?: Art and transfiguration of the world in work of Arthur Bispo do Rosário. Reverso [online]. 2014, vol.36, n.68, pp. 21-26. ISSN 0102-7395.

This short essay seeks to address psychosis from the vast and diverse writing and visual work of Arthur Bispo do Rosário, notorious inhabitant of Colony Juliano Moreira (Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil). Remaking the world in response to a divine utterance, Bispo shows, exemplarily, as rave and creation serve as tactics against unreasonable invasion of the Thing.

Keywords : Creation; Psychosis; The Thing.
