BOMPARD-PORTE, Michèle  y  MELLO, Carlos Antônio Andrade. The father figures, a collective matter.Traducido porBernardo Maranhão. Reverso [online]. 2016, vol.38, n.71, pp. 15-26. ISSN 0102-7395.

According to Freud, existence of the father figures in a human group is contingent and depends on the prevailing collective dynamics. A brief recall of the three paradigmatic dynamics according to Freud - herd, matriarchy, fraternal group - allows us to conclude that the invention of the fathers amidst these dynamics derives rather from the phallic logic than from the recognition of the alterity of sexes. Thus, the authority of the parents depends on an infantile regression, and becoming psychically adult implies separating oneself from that.

Palabras clave : Fathers; Collective psychology; Herd; Matriarchy; Fraternal group; Division; Omnipotence.
