Psychoanalysis is essentially a therapy of words. The “talking cure” designed by Anna O depends on words, to be effective. The author considers, in her work, those patients that are not able to express their feelings and emotions through their speech and the difficulties regarding the psychoanalysis practice. She points the use of countertransference as one possibility to solve the impasse.
