GODOI, Bernardo Sollar  e  NOE, Sidnei Vilmar. The death of God, the father of the primal horde and the interdict. Reverso [online]. 2018, vol.40, n.75, pp. 73-81. ISSN 0102-7395.

The purpose of this article is to present an explanatory path for the lacanian inversion of the proposition attributed to Dostoyevsky, “if God is dead then everything is permitted”. The inversion refers to a lack of permissiveness succeeded from God's death, which has its interpretation based on the freudian’s myth of the father of the primal horde. Lacan don’t believe in the death of God as a discharge of pleasures or a world without any law. What Lacan shows is just the opposite: the death of God reinforces the interdict.
