Abstract

LOLLO, Paolo. Psychoanalysis at paville school David Malkin.Translated byBernardo Maranhão. Reverso [online]. 2019, vol.41, n.77, pp. 15-21. ISSN 0102-7395.

What relationship is there between psychoanalysis and art? What common trace can we perceive between these two modalities of human action? Wouldn't they be two ways of causing to vibrate a real that exceeds all knowledge? Two acts which would be in resonance and in almost intimate contiguity with each other? Anyway, David Malkin, a colorist painter who has gone through the 20th century as an artist and inventor but also as a kabbalist, knew something about the real, about life and death. Malkin has made out of image and appearance a crystal bridge that leads us to the heart of the real, a bridge psychoanalysis can use to cross towards all these impossible.

Keywords : Psychoanalysis; Art; David Malkin.
