Abstract

SANTORO, Vanessa Campos. The strangely (un) familiar of fears. Reverso [online]. 2020, vol.42, n.79, pp. 53-58. ISSN 0102-7395.

The author compares the formation of symptoms in the psychoanalytic clinic of phobia with the true outbreak of the real seen in recent events, such as in the episode of the Córrego do Feijão mine in Brumadinho (MG). Lacan treats the Real through the Symbolic, approaching the familiar stranger [of the Unheimliche] in each of us. The ability to elaborate post-traumatic stress requires not only the word that touches the body as a letter of enjoyment, but also the elucidation of points in the history of each person, who, in a strangely (in)familiar way, has become fixated on childhood traumas. These points of the Real leave us agitated and stunned. For them, we lack words.

Keywords : Trauma; Formation of symptoms in phobia; Unheimliche; Return of the repressed; Letter of enjoyment; Bordering the real by the symbolic; Post-traumatic stress.
