The work in question intends to make a reflexive incursion on Man in contemporary times. Due to the multiple and varied challenges and opportunities that this Age brings to light, new configurations of mental suffering are discovered, which demand responses in line to the (new) needs experienced. Coimbra de Matos' legacy highlights the importance of affection and relationship in the subject's life, rescuing him from a meaningless existence, from an empty existence.
