Abstract

SANTANA JUNIOR, Roberto César  and  CECCARELLI, Paulo Roberto. Intolerance in adolescence: the resistance of young gay people to homophobia. Reverso [online]. 2020, vol.42, n.80, pp. 73-82. ISSN 0102-7395.

The article discusses the homophobia experienced by young people and adolescents, and the way they deal with this problem. Our objective is to identify the attitude of these subjects in situations of discrimination and intolerance due to sexual orientation. The theme was dealt with in three parts: in the first one, an analysis of the concept of adolescence is made; then, a historical-conceptual analysis of homosexualities within a psychoanalytical reference and, finally, an intertwining of concepts about intolerance due to homophobia which is, from an early age, faced, disguised in games by LGBTI + people.

Keywords : Sexualities; Adolescence; Homophobia.
