Abstract

SANTOS, Luiz Fellipe de Almeida  and  ESTEVAO, Ivan Ramos. "Gender ideology"? How to situate psychoanalysis in this quarrel?. Reverso [online]. 2021, vol.43, n.81, pp. 67-74. ISSN 0102-7395.

The text aims to position the specificity of psychoanalysis in the debate held between the current Brazilian government, which has declared combat against the so-called gender ideology, and the identity constructivism that is vividly present in the contemporary world. We interrogate the epistemological particularity of psychoanalysis, which distinguishes itself from the other two poles of discussion by its specific and distanced approach with regard to the presupposition of identity. In view of the Spinozan passion triad taken up by Lacan, we essay to understand the role of the analytic discourse in this dispute. As for the being's passions, as passions of ignorance, psychoanalysis proposes the knowledge about the truth, not the opposite.

Keywords : Gender ideology; Being's passions; Identification; Jacques Lacan.
