The author discusses the formation and evo-lution of the Family, through times, reaching the present days, in which new and diverse configurations are presented, what interferes in the way of raising children. The text also discusses what led to the inequality of female and male roles, arriving to the question of family survival, as such, reflecting about perspectives and mode of operations that can allow this survival.
