Abstract

HENRIQUES, Victor de Freitas  and  OLIVEIRA, Marina de Carvalho. Dynamics of care: Analytical Psychology and the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS). Junguiana [online]. 2020, vol.38, n.1, pp. 101-112. ISSN 2595-1297.

This article rescues premises of Analytical Psychology to stimulate discussions about difficulties faced by the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS). It's a theoretical work in which we delimit equity, one of SUS principles, and the otherness dynamism conception found in Analytical Psychology as converging points of a dialogue that aims to understand necessary factors for the existence of the situation of health and care. We argue that guidelines formulated by the Ministry of Health on autonomy and centrality of SUS users and agents in the pursuit of health promotion and overcoming the dichotomy between health/disease as one being the opposite of other, are enriched when analyzed together with the dialectic relationship pointed out by Analytical Psychology between the image of the healer and the wounded. Initially, we rescued the notion of equity in the context of public health and, later, related it to the idea of otherness dynamism and care in the context of Analytical Psychology. ■
