HENRIQUES, Victor de Freitas  y  OLIVEIRA, Marina de Carvalho. The making of Analytical Psychology: the role of American Women. Junguiana [online]. 2020, vol.38, n.2, pp. 77-90. ISSN 2595-1297.

This article aims to rescue and recognize the active and determinant role of certain American women in the construction of analytical psychology. Initially, we debrief the myth of the solitary and individual construction of theories, knowledge fields and subjects, placing general psychology projects and the development of Analytical Psychology within this context. We discussed how Carl Gustav Jung's work can be seen as an individual practice and general psychology project, using his considerations about the place of theory in his work, as well as his view about the possibility of transmitting such knowledge and training professionals within that paradigm. We argue that the role of certain women was crucial in the formatting, editing and transposition of Jung's work from the field of individual practice to the theoretical propagation that we know today in the format of collected works and seminars. ■
