Abstract

The psychoanalytic clinical practice with couples and families has specificities that require greater care, especially in relation to undergraduate Psychology initiating this practice, in order that the family heritage linked content does not compromise the clinical care they offer. Therefore, this article has the intention to present a research that aimed to verify that the Mediation Group Therapy with psychology students would be able to facilitate the operation of the pre-conscious, as regards the psychic elaboration of contents linked to the story family unconscious. Seven students took part in an individual interview, then they attended five meetings in Therapeutic Group Mediation, and then a final individual interview. The results show that the Therapeutic Mediation Group was able to develop the pre-conscious function of the students, showing up as an important therapeutic tool, which can be employed as a complementary care and as a training strategy for clinical practice internship in psychology.
