Resumen

BACHA, Marcia Simões Corrêa Neder. The song of the Sphinx: the feminine in the origins of knowledge. J. psicanal. [online]. 2006, vol.39, n.70, pp. 133-148. ISSN 0103-5835.

This paper explores the feminine origins of the production of knowledge in psychoanalysis proposing as a conductive thread the encounter between Oedipus and the Sphinx. Based on the new concept of the maternal figure elaborated by Conrad Stein, as a "perverse temptress" and on the theory of generalized seduction situated in the origins of our psyche, the author discusses that dessexualization of the mother and of maternity causes important misunderstandings in the psychoanalytic concept of femininity.
