Resumen

MINERBO, Marion et al. Fight Club: narcissism, identification and group psychology. J. psicanal. [online]. 2006, vol.39, n.70, pp. 149-161. ISSN 0103-5835.

The difference between a psychoanalytic interpretation and the exercise of applied psychoanalysis is initially discussed. This text is an exercise of applied psychoanalysis, using the film Fight Club to illustrate the concepts of identification, narcissism and group psychology. The idea was to recognize them in the film’s "clinical material" and also to use them to better understand the film. The process of becoming psychotic is shown by the character, and then his slow recuperation. This passes by the recognition of the object as a separate being and a process of mourning a state of fusion with the ideal ego.

Palabras clave : Narcissism; Identification; Group psychology; Applied psychoanalysis.
