Freud was born and lived in a geopolitical universe where the local population and the jewish people lived physically side by side, although culturally there was mutual intolerance. This simultaneous immersion in the local and jewish culture was taken by him to the university in Viena where he got it touch with the modern world of medical science. Freud’s studies and researches were influenced by his latent conflicts. It is in this turmoil of conflicting cultures and intolerance that psychoanalysis came forth, developing ideas to understand the world and to solve conflicts without the use of the notion of guilt, of rather emphasizing comprehension and intimacy, instead of forgiveness.
