Abstract

FIGUEIREDO, Luís Claudio. The psychoanalytic practice after Melanie Klein: What this means?. J. psicanal. [online]. 2006, vol.39, n.71, pp. 125-150. ISSN 0103-5835.

In the present paper two aspects of the kleinian thought are identified as possible basis to the contemporary psychoanalytic practice. The concept of unconscious phantasy and the questions around the oedipal situation, along their transformations, evolutions and aspects, are examined, including the early Oedipus complex. Both of these themes can be conceived as a solid and useful ground for psychoanalysts of non-kleinian orientations.

Keywords : Contemporary psychoanalytic practice; Unconscious phantasy; Oedipal situation and early Oedipus complex.
