Abstract

BARONE, Leda Maria Codeço. The analyst's writing: investigation, theory and clinical. J. psicanal. [online]. 2006, vol.39, n.71, pp. 223-230. ISSN 0103-5835.

The author discusses some particularities of the analyst's writing. Considering clinical work as an investigation, and writing as a requirement of scientific production that enables communication of methods and results of investigation, the analyst's writing bears a paradox. It must communicate and at the same time preserve the intimacy of the clinical work. The experience of uneasiness caused by clinical work and the creative force of words also prompt him to write. The paper also enhances the fictional quality of the analyst's writing.
