Abstract

DELOUYA, Daniel. Between representation and emotional experience: contribution for a dialogue. J. psicanal. [online]. 2007, vol.40, n.72, pp.193-213. ISSN 0103-5835.

In this paper, clinical vignettes are used to trace relevant elements of the Bionian’s notion of emotional experience in the architecture of the Freudian’s concept of representation (“Vorstellung”) and its origins in object’s work. An effort which aims at making clear why the emotional experience is inherent to the Freudian “Vorstellung”, revealing the footprints of the first in the different construction’s stages of the second. We distinguished, especially, the reflexive function of the object. This function is triggered regressively by identification (Freud, 1895/1995) in its double vertexes or values, of compassion and imitative conduction which determine, respectively and jointly, the representation’s stage and its script and characters. We tried to make apparent the parallel between this function and its dimensions and that of the Bionian’s reverie. We hope to stimulate the dialogue, as closer as possible to the clinic work, among colleagues of our Society that employ different theoretical and clinical conceptions.

Keywords : Representation; Emotional experience; Movement image; Identification; Reflexive function.
