Abstract

LANZONI, Maria da Penha Zabani. Magali on diet. J. psicanal. [online]. 2007, vol.40, n.73, pp. 205-212. ISSN 0103-5835.

The experience of a surgery triggers a psychoanalytical reflexion. The author analyses the experience using a model proposed by Fabio Herrmann on his paper “O escudo de Aquiles” which is an approach to reality/identity, real/desire relation. First, the experience is introduced, then a clinical-theoretical reflexion is presented. At last, the author concludes that psychoanalysis (with its method) has a lot to contribute to the training of hospital’s staff in charge of surgical ward, for a surgery experience may bring all sorts of psychological processes, either temporarily or not.

Keywords : Surgery; Psychoanalysis; Multiple Fields Theory; Identity; Reality.
