Abstract

MOREIRA, Ana Cleide Guedes  and  VILHENA, Junia de. On the Brazilian myth of being abandoned to grief: “if at least I could forget”. J. psicanal. [online]. 2007, vol.40, n.73, pp.213-219. ISSN 0103-5835.

The psychoanalytic interpretation of the Brazilian myth of “being abandoned to grief” as conceptualized by Fabio Herrmann is a key for understanding a feeling often encountered in our consulting rooms. However, dealing with it represents a challenge due to its origin in the beginning of subjectivity. The authors describe a field where memory, feelings and remembrances are intertwined with clinical work in which Herrmann’s conceptions are present and not forgotten.

Keywords : Psychoanalysis; Multiple Fields Theory; Subjectivity; Feelings.
