In this paper, the author presents a research study about the crisis of psychoanalysis, in both its epidermic symptoms - fewer patients, especially the ones willing to go through the standard clinical approach - and its deeper and more subjective manifestation - the current clinic presents different characteristics than before. However, this change is perceived in a blurred way. It resembles a ghost that bothers and scares, because it threatens the professional viability of psychoanalysts and also their identity.
