Resumen

SAIGH, Yeda Alcide. Transference: study of the periods of termination and after-termination of psychoanalysis. J. psicanal. [online]. 2008, vol.41, n.75, pp. 181-191. ISSN 0103-5835.

Study on issues of transfer during the periods of termination and after-termination of psychoanalysis and on the destination of the transfer in the after-termination, with considerations on the analyst immersed in a complex network of meanings, both during termination, still in situation of analysis, as in the after-termination, after the closure of the strictly analytical space-time. During the construction of the termination, there is a necessary separation from the analyst, even if there are remnants resulting from transference which will be elaborated by the patient him/herself, through his/her self-analysis, or the patient will carry the remnants forward to another analyst. In the after-termination, although the after-termination follow-up is a way to ‘clean up’ the transference, the analyst is supposed to prevent the necessary elaboration of mourning from being ‘contaminate’ by the follow-up.

Palabras clave : Psychoanalysis; Transfer; Termination; After-termination.
