Abstract

AZEVEDO, Ana Maria Andrade de  and  SAMPAIO, Camila Pedral. I hate when you remind me that I exist. J. psicanal. [online]. 2009, vol.42, n.77, pp. 243-254. ISSN 0103-5835.

This work presents the clinical case of a eight year old child who attended psychoanalytic psychotherapy for a period of three years in a frequency basis of 2 sessions per week. The paper includes parents´ interviews and clinical sessions´ material in order to demonstrate the rich elaboration of the patient, as well as, to illustrate the analyst´s difficulties to access the psychic and inner world of the patient. The theoretical elaboration of the clinical material takes into account Freudian notions of trauma and repetition and also includes some ideas from Armando Ferrari, André Green, Fabio Herrman and Wilfred Bion.

Keywords : Child psychoanalytic psychotherapy; Psychic elaboration; Trauma; Repetition.
