This article was developed from an amalgamation of two activities that are fundamental for the author: Psychoanalysis and Art. It is a reflexive effort to expand some ideas about drawing, the creative process and the psychoanalytic encounter in its aesthetic dimension. The paper explores matters in the making process of art, providing a dialogue with the art tradition and inventiveness in the formation of new symbols.
