This paper debates as to how therapeutic consultations utilized in initial parentinfant relations interventions favour the constitution of parenthood. It outlines how this setting builds a fundamental potential space for the establishment of parenthood and the prevention of development disorders, especially in those parents-infant pairs characterized as at risk situations. It is illustrated with some therapeutic consultation’s fragments of a teenage mother and her baby.
