The present work offers a critical consideration of the evaluative model of psychoanalytic reviews, endorsed by the Qualis System, and it has the objective to reflect upon the adequacy of evaluation criteria adopted by this System, to the particularities of our discipline. It proposes a reflection upon the scientific statute of our discipline, considering its object and method and, taking into account Herrmann’s contributions, it considers the object of our discipline the Psychoanalytic Man and its method, interpretation defined as field rupture. The article recognizes that only a serious and rigorous analysis of such issues could offer the adequate subsidies in this matter, that would not mutilate psychoanalytic thought.
