Abstract

The author discusses criteria and principles underlying the conceptual design of the curriculum, considered in its function in the tripod that supports the process of “Psychoanalytic Training.” Assumes that think the process of training is to think first in the formation of subjectivity. It therefore considers that the autonomy of the affiliate member and the development of their own experience of theorizing should be prioritized as basic principles in designing a curriculum. It is under such a viewpoint that the author discusses the concept and function of the elective modules within the curriculum. In this context, he also discusses the concept of “respect for the traditions” in the process of psychoanalytic training. Regarding the assessment of members in training, it is set to debate the risk of an intrusive institutional control that can lead to an opposite direction the process of psychoanalytic formation that aims at a subjectifying action, that is, non-alienating.
