Abstract

SILVA, Marcella Monteiro de Souza e. Ambiguity and bisexuality: disavowal’s consequences on thinking and transference’s field. J. psicanal. [online]. 2011, vol.44, n.81, pp. 175-186. ISSN 0103-5835.

This paper discusses how ambiguity, experienced in the transference field, is anchored in a particular configuration of psychic organization (rooted in a bisexuality fantasy or illusion). Disavowal is the principle operating psychic mechanism which characterizes his mode of being with himself and others. Since disavowal is negation of perception (Freud), I venture to relate it to Bion’s studied on thinking disturbances, especially attacks on linking.

Keywords : Ambiguity; Bisexuality; Disavowal; Attack on linking.
