Abstract

CROMBERG, Renata Udler. Sabina Spielrein’s authorship. J. psicanal. [online]. 2012, vol.45, n.82, pp. 83-98. ISSN 0103-5835.

The authorship of Sabina Spielrein was forgotten and repressed for almost sixty years. However, it reveals her pioneering and importance as a innovative, creative writer and clinician of unpublished concepts in the psychoanalytic field during the period of 1910 to 1931. Her initial essays, dated from 1910 and 1912, which present the analysis of schizophrenic speech and introduce the concept of death instinct, by addition to her essays on the origin of child language and the formation of symbols in children, have a great significance in present times.

Keywords : Death drive; Sexual drive; Anguish; Symbolization; History of psychoanalysis.
