Abstract

FRAYZE-PEREIRA, João A.. The question of authorship: the unthought known of the works of thought - artistic biography, clinical narrative and psychoanalytic theory. J. psicanal. [online]. 2012, vol.45, n.82, pp. 129-140. ISSN 0103-5835.

The article discusses the relations between author, his work and the reader. It analyzes some situations drawn from art, clinical and psychoanalytic theory’s fields, which critically interrogate the figure of the author in relation to the reader. It is considered that the act of reading always creates a field that demands more interrogation, opening the work to a dialog with other authors. It is considered relevant, as well, the phenomenological notion of “non-thought”, which means the thought that the work demands to be thought, not the one that hasn’t been thought by it. This critical notion opens doors for the work to escape the field of ideology and transforms the theme of authorship in a complex question.

Keywords : Author; Reader; Work; Critical reception; Ideology.
