Abstract

HARDT JR, Orlando. Freud and the exact perspective florentino. J. psicanal. [online]. 2012, vol.45, n.83, pp. 85-96. ISSN 0103-5835.

The text addresses the hypothesis that the metapsychology was Freud's theoretical invention, at a time when he was looking at the future of civilization from another perspective, so metapsychological texts produced led to a method of interpretation of the issues of culture, without leading into a freudian type of sociology. In that journey he left the individual analysis and headed to the social and cultural, extending certain psychoanalytic concepts to a wider set than the pair normality/ pathology. This has allowed psychoanalysis to advance to new propositions for the civilization. The concept of metapsychology will still contribute to challenges ahead, and its keystone is the death instinct, the drive for excellence, the most privileged expression of psychic function.

Keywords : metapsychology; Brunelleschi; death instinct; invention.
