I present a panoramic vision of the works of Herrmann and Bion. The intention is to illuminate the trajectory of critical thought traversed by both authors. The influence of their works will be noticed in the way a case study is exposed and in its theorization. Dream theory contained in Herrmann's work and made explicit in Bion's (and, consequently, consciousness theory) will be discussed. From this discussion, we weave a way to understand the psychoanalytic clinic, and to work with patients, which approximates the two authors.
